Conscience of the Community

Thank you for your interest in participating in our jury research project.

We work with attorneys who are preparing real cases and need honest input from people in the community. Our goal is to include a diverse range of voices, so even if we’re not able to include you in this session, we may reach out again in the future.

To participate, you must:
– Be at least 18 years old
– Live in the state where the focus group is being conducted
– Have a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID from that state
– Qualify to serve on a jury in your location, but…
– NOT currently be called for jury duty, and not live with someone who is

We know the form may feel personal or even a little overwhelming. That’s because attorneys often need to understand things like life experience, education, and values when preparing a case.
Only the first section of this form is used to determine your eligibility. The rest helps us ensure we’re creating a balanced group and asking the right kinds of questions.

You don’t have to finish this form all at once.
If you click “Save and Resume Later,” you’ll be able to email yourself a private link to return to your saved progress.

Your information is never sold, shared outside of our company, or used for marketing. It’s only seen by us and the attorneys who hired us, and they take confidentiality just as seriously as we do.

If you have any questions, you can email Carol Ann at carol@conscienceofthecommunity.com or text (307) 259-0015. If you’d like to speak by phone, just send a quick text or email first—unrecognized numbers may go to voicemail.

Demographics

The following questions help us understand who is participating and allow us to build balanced groups. Your answers are not used to decide whether you qualify, and you’re always welcome to skip any question you’re not comfortable answering.

Basic Household & Work Information

The questions in this section help us make sure we’re including a range of life experiences and avoiding duplicate participation. These are required, but we keep all responses confidential and use them only for internal research purposes.

Jury Research Participation

This section helps us avoid duplicate participants and get a range of perspectives. Your answers won’t disqualify you, but we do use them to manage group balance.

Beliefs and Perspectives

These questions help us understand what kinds of perspectives people bring into the group. We don’t judge or screen participants based on your answers.

Perspectives on Responsibility & Control

Below are a few statements about how people view the world. Please indicate how strongly you agree or disagree with each one. There are no right or wrong answers.

Legal and Professional Background

These questions help us understand whether participants have had professional or personal exposure to fields that may relate to a case. Your answers won’t disqualify you, but they help us create a well-rounded group.

If you aren’t eligible for this session—or if we’re not able to include you this time—you can still stay in the loop.
